Annabel’s Turkeys
Annabel has provided us with our turkeys for over 35 years. Farmed 30 mins from our shop, she takes exceedingly good care of these wonderful birds. It’s always a highlight for Joe’s kids’ when they get to bob over to see the turkey chicks in the summer!
We’re confident with our supply, and know that the eating quality of our turkeys really is superb. Plenty of choice: half turkeys, whole turkeys, turkey breast, crowns & stuffed!

Colin Piercy: the best pig farmer around!
We regularly take the team out to explore Colin & Gill’s farm near Easingwold. The Piercys always keep their standards high and we’re proud to have worked with The Piercys and their outdoor-bred pigs for a very long time.
As well as in our Charcuterie, Hams, Bacon & Sausage you can enjoy Piercy’s pork in as Boneless Pork Loin, Pork Shoulder and Porchetta this Christmas.
Our grass-fed heritage breed beef is sourced from responsible farmers around the North.
We age it to perfection to ensure depth of flavour & texture.
Great Game
We source our Venison from both the Scottish Highlands and more locally, from just across the river. Situated just the other side of The Wharfe, these deer lead a good life on the Denton Estate. Whether from Scotland or Yorkshire, the eating quality is just outstanding.
Ian Scott, our gamekeeper has given us a lovely selection of Game in store: it really is best to buy it when you see it as obviously our range depends on what they happen to shoot that day!
Need some help with your Christmas Order?
We’ve decided to work with the same order collection process as last year to keep everything safe and straightforward:
• Order collections will remain outside at the back of the shop
• We have a few home delivery slots available for those who prefer to stay at home
• Where possible please order through our website, but obviously if ever you need to talk through queries or a cooking dilemma feel free to drop us a message, pop in for a chat or give us a buzz.
Please get your orders in early to avoid disappointment as some products have limited numbers. Orders close Thursday 16th December 2021.
