Aged to Perfection
We’re proud to have a Himalayan Salt chamber in our shop window where the finest local meat ages to perfection. We showcase the maturing process to highlight the importance of true butchery. When you come to Lishman’s what you see is what you get.
Exactly What You Want
One of the perks of shopping from an independent butcher is that you can buy exactly as much as you need. Meaning no food waste, and no faff. We can show you ways of eking out extra portions and leftovers, or what a fiver’s worth of steak looks like. Good food needn’t be a privilege.
Chops and A Chinwag
The Lishman’s team are a knowledgeable, chirpy bunch. Whether you fancy a chat about your chops or a natter over your n’duja we are always very happy to share our passion for proper food with you. We run regular butchery demos, and offer cooking advice, but also encourage you to always ask us ANYTHING about the food you see in our shop.
A Yorkshire Twist
After many holidays in Tuscany tasting charcuterie and visiting local producers, we developed our own Lishman’s recipes; combining traditional techniques with our finest local produce. Our range now rivals the best of Spain, Italy or France.
A National Institution
Lishman’s Charcuterie has picked up several prestigious awards over the last few years; including over a dozen stars in total in the Great Taste Awards… as well as the title of Champion Charcuterie Producer 2019.
We’re leading the way in bringing the finest artisan Yorkshire charcuterie to a new generation of consumers across the UK. Our award-winning Charcuterie, Salamis and Cured Meats are featured on the best shelves and menus all over the UK.
Who Made All the Pies?
We did! All our pies are made in our bakery behind the shop. Pick up your pork pies early in the day to enjoy a freshly baked pork pie… and try your best to stop the warm jelly from dripping down your chin.
Picnics and Nibbles
Although the Lishman’s crew tend to be pretty carnivorous, it’s fair to say that anything savoury hits our sweet spot. That’s why our deli is laden with our favourite cheeses, olives, balsamic onions, smoked nuts & nibbles to complement your Charcuterie boards, picnics and ‘picky teas’.
The Local’s Favourite
Every Friday & Saturday you can pick up one of our award-winning Honey Mustard Glazed Hams to dive into throughout the weekend. If you’re hosting a bigger do, feel free to pre-order a full ham to feed the crowd.
Our seasonal hams are cured in Ilkley Brewery’s beer, but we also stock selected bottles, cans and limited edition runs of theirs. Bini Brew Co are a nano-brewery situated a stone’s throw from the shop and we’re delighted to sell their funky cans of the good stuff too!
Our team have curated a range of wines for all budgets. Whether it’s a convivial summer fizz to enjoy with a Sharer Board, or an oaky red to set your steak off beautifully, we can guide you towards something you’ll love (and you won’t find our wines anywhere else in Ilkley!)
We source exceptional spirits from artisan producers as well as more established distilleries. We will ONLY sell what we love. Head towards our back door to find our bottle shop, gleaming with our favourite Vermouth, Port, Whisky, Rum, Sherry and Gins.
Every morning, our legendary breakfast baps are available to take away from 8am. Black Pudding, Bacon, Hash Browns, Sausage and your choice of sauce: there’s no better way to start the day. Pair your morning kickstart with our Yorkshire Tea or a North Star filter coffee.
Hot Roast Sandwiches
Roast Pork with Crackling, Apple Sauce and Stuffing, anyone? From 11am we dish up our roasting joints, piled high with your favourite toppings and serve your sarnies just the way you like them. Lunch service ends by 2pm, but we’ve always got sweet treats, drinks and savoury bits and bats.
The Pie Hatch
No need to tether your pet to a post when you’re peckish! Pop down for a pasty from our Pie Hatch and crack on with your morning walk, or grab a pew and relax with your pooch on our picnic tables out the front.
Buffets and Boards
Pimp up your charcuterie boards and party buffets with a selection of chutneys, crackers and nibbly bits from our pantry. We only sell what we love; and we’re sure that you’ll love them too. We’re always on the lookout for new trends and update our range regularly.
We Love Local
The shelves of our pantry are laden with produce from niche suppliers and local distributors: local honey is always a hit with our hay fever sufferers in particular. We showcase products you can’t find in most supermarkets and are proud to stock Spanish specialities.
The Whole Shebang
Our pantry stocks groceries to build together a full meal: steak sauces, ingredients and condiments. The freezers just opposite our pantry are a handy place to stock up on homemade ready meals and limited-edition specials.
