Marathon Stats

Emma & Sarah-Jayne Lishman ran the London Marathon on Sunday 3rd October 2021…  and smashed their fundraising target. Here we give you the lowdown on their key stats:

post-marathon

£5170 total raised for the Cure Parkinson’s Trust: a cause close to their hearts. This grand total far exceeded their fundraising aspirations when they set out to train for the marathon back in 2019…!

£450 of which was raised from the Lishman’s Raffle supported by Yorkshire Vintners, Love Brownies, Edward St Bakery, Community Cutlery, Cryer & Stott, InGear Coaching and Lishman’s (obviously) .

4 hrs 31 minutes: Time taken for Emma and Sarah-Jayne to smile their way through 26.2 gruelling miles around London’s landmarks

431 hours: Time spent browsing elaborate socks and trainers over the 21 month on-off training programme

pre-marathon2: Chiropody Appointments required, post-marathon

3: Bottles of Crémant du Jura consumed during the marathon weekend

16: Weekends dominated by lengthy training runs

1: Vow to never get talked into running a marathon again

5170: Thank yous to each and every one of you who supported us with donations, banners, moral support, blister wisdom, ‘isotonic’ sausage rolls and training advice over the last 21 months.
